Checklist
Before you head out, make sure you have the following:
- Roll Call ready (e.g. SFSU at the Friendship Games 2007; Gamma Beta at APhiO Spring Sectionals 2003; Mu Zeta at APhiO Spring Sectionals 2008)
- Bagged lunch (We will not provide lunch; we will provide bottled water; SFSU VSA will sell egg rolls; restaurants are a bit too far to walk to.)
- Comfortable sportswear (shorts, shoes, extra socks)
- School shirt
- Change of clothes
- Towel
- Paid your registration to your school representative or Kim Le
- In case it rains
- Umbrella
- Ponchos or Garbage bags
- Positive attitude!
Parking & Directions
Address to Pioneer East Meadow Picnic Area:
John F Kennedy Dr & Stow Lake Dr
San Francisco, CA 94118
From Hwy 101 from San Jose or Bay Bridge
- Exit to Fell Street, stay in the second to right hand lane.
- Fell Street becomes John F. Kennedy Drive.
- Continue down to approximately 16th Avenue just before Stow Lake Drive.
- Pioneer East Meadow Picnic Area will be on the left hand side.
From Golden Gate Bridge
- Exit 19th Ave and follow Park Presidio Blvd.
- Turn right onto Cabrillo Street.
- Make a left onto 25th Avenue and stay in right hand lane.
- After crossing Fulton Street, veer right onto Transverse Drive into Golden Gate Park.
- At stop sign make left onto John F. Kennedy Drive.
- Go past Stow Lake Drive and the Pioneer East Meadow Picnic Area will be on the right hand side.
From Hwy 280
- Take Hwy 280 North to the 19th Avenue exit.
- Make a right onto Martin Luther King Drive.
- Go up about a half block and turn left onto Stow Lake Drive.
- Continue around the first half of the lake past the boathouse and past the Log Cabin.
- Make a right at the stop sign and the Pioneer East Meadow Picnic Area will be on the right hand side.
